As Phases and Trends Develop

As time went on, guitar players, I had accumulated a surplus supply of guitar accessories that I never used, wanted or needed. One such example is something called a capo. A capo (short for capodastro or capotasto, Italian for cape) is an accessory used on the fretboard of a stringed instrument (such as guitar in my case) to the playable length of the strings thus raising the pitch. I personally consider it garbage.

Several years ago, I had accumulated several of them given to me by people over the years, and instead of throwing them away, I thought to put them in a bag and give them to my daughter, which I did. When I called her over and told her what they were and that they were hers, she put one in her hair and said to me “Thank you, Daddy”. She was always a big lover of hair clips such as banana clips. The capos I gave her were one more way for her to put her hair back at times.

So, her friends had started doing the same. It became a trend for girls to put capos in their hair, because one girl liked it.  It had become a growing trend. Where ever she went, people would sometimes see her with a capo in her hair. Along with her other hair clips, she still uses those capos in her hair nowadays.

Neither my daughter nor I are famous. It turns out that this story about capos is a perfect example of how phases and trends develop. A situation takes place that leads to unexpected results, whether positive or negative. As I look around, I notice that many phases and trends develop out of nowhere, and I realized that they all started with experiments or someone trying something that “caught on”. It was not invented, nor is its history or origin known, though occasionally people make up stories of how it became to be to be newsworthy.

The transgender movement is a perfect example of this. It was decades ago. With disputes on its history, we don’t know just exactly how or when that the concept of crossdressing became a thing for some, although was said to first became famous in the theater industry. Eventually it became growing and led to some people having envy of the opposite gender. As time went on, it led to transvestites and “woman impersonators”. People who were involved in this growing trend took it too literally, forgetting to fall back down to reality and forgetting about the end of the day.

This is what the transgender movement is all about. Let’s make the show go on forever and never go home. Instead of making our dreams come true by working, let’s make them come true by faking.  The transgender movement has done a lot of bad things. In addition to opening up a corrupt form of medical care, it has created an outlet for criminals to hide their identity and carry out their crimes without being caught.

In reality, there is no such thing as transgenders or transphobia. They are all just bad actors escaping law and order and fooling a lot of people along the way. Like all bad trends, we can only hope that this trend gets reversed before it does more damage.

  1. Hello Mister Rooster! I am trying to develop a more visual presence as I work primarily in radio and as a voice over artist. However I am trying to find out if posting my personal picture, or those of my family as you have done (assuming that is your daughter) would be advantageous to me. Let me know your opinion on this.
Right now everything goes through my management company, but I would like to handle things one to one. Cheers!

    1. It is your choice to post your person pic or not. I would advise against posting anyone else in your family unless you have a particular story involving them. them that you have a point to make. I don’t know what sort of management company you have that everything goes through. Yes, I do have a daughter, and wrote 2 articles involving her. Which one did you see?

    2. That all sounds good, except I would not post people in your family (especially children) on your online affairs. 🙂 Let me know how it turns out and if you have a flyer I will post it in my sponser page.

      1. Everyone in these picture jokes, including the children, is posted unanimously, and they are all tasteful. It has turned out well. Posting your sponsor page is your option. Everyone loves the free advertising.

    3. I am not a professional consultant by trade. If you want to post an article of your own dialog, attach it to an email with dialogue about yourself and send it to me. My email city_rooster@hotmail.com and it will be posted in Rooster Earshot.

    4. Posting images of your family is fine since my site is protected against copying. However, outside of first names, I would not recommend any personal info on them being posted.
