Misuse of Language
Contrary to many of today’s youth, many languagessuch as English are not phonetic languages, and wedon’t know as much as we would like to think we do.Reading is always a good thing. However, we need tolearn sounds by listening and studying them, asunderstand these sounds so we can be better readers.If we do this, we have a better interest in reading andwriting. Thus, we become also better at speaking andlistening as an extra benefit.Many millennials don’t learn the English languageproperly, and therefore don’t read and write well,whether out of choice or ability. Nowadays with moreaudio and assumption, lots of young people have lessof an incentive to read and listen properly. This resultsin more people prone to depend on preconceivednotions and second-hand information.
