Living with Each Other

Here is a quote from a famous magazine:
“How to Win at Life: Let people do what they need to
do to make themselves happy. Mind your own
business and do what you need to make yourself
happy. The end.”
If it was only that simple. We live in a country where
people do lots of things to invade your life and use the
law to do it with. We need to learn to go to living
together and accepting each other for who and what
we are. It’s a collective effort amongst all of us. Rights
are like everything else: If you abuse it – you lose it.
That would even apply to our rights as citizens.
Many people are overly self-absorbed, bringing
themselves to a degree of selfishness. This leads to
poor judgement and bad decisions. It also takes away
from basic productivity and is one reason why we move
faster towards automation than any other country in the
world. “I want money.” “I don’t want to work.” “I want
everything my way.” “Things should always be on my
terms.” “Why should I negotiate?” “Me. Me. Me.”
At the same time, too many people have the tacky
habit of pushing etiquette on other people of how they
should dress, behave, etc. and living up to their
standard. What makes them so perfect? We all make
mistakes, but we need to make them educational, and
not just say so. Many people go through life with
grudges because their lack of satisfaction leaves them
to go through life with matters unresolved. This is
where the nasty combination of greed and laziness
come into play.
