Misuse of Language

Contrary to many of today’s youth, many languages
such as English are not phonetic languages, and we
don’t know as much as we would like to think we do.
Reading is always a good thing. However, we need to
learn sounds by listening and studying them, as
understand these sounds so we can be better readers.
If we do this, we have a better interest in reading and
writing. Thus, we become also better at speaking and
listening as an extra benefit.
Many millennials don’t learn the English language
properly, and therefore don’t read and write well,
whether out of choice or ability. Nowadays with more
audio and assumption, lots of young people have less
of an incentive to read and listen properly. This results
in more people prone to depend on preconceived
notions and second-hand information. This is why
propaganda is so popular.
Modern language has been severely misused over the
past twenty or thirty years, and this coming from a
person that is not strict with language. For over four
hundred years, English has contained less than seven hundred thousand words. In a matter of three decades,
its dictionary has swelled to over a million words. Many
slang or incorrect terms have been accepted as proper
language and included in the modern dictionary list.
This comes as a result of linguistic scholars caving to
the growth of disorder and lack of subornation.
People who take the easy way out of learning language
often don’t stop to think about the fact that they are
missing out on good communication skills. Another
irony out of all this are terms we are forced to use to
install political correctness to the satisfaction of people
who don’t want to compromise unfruitful principles.
