Respecting the Genders

When I was growing up, it was of a fashion of some
sorts for everyone to go under the premise that boys
and girls would have their gender roles established in
the level supremacy, something that I never agreed
with. On one hand, guys were expected to make the
first move at anything, and on the other hand, girls
were expected to decided what was right and what was
wrong.
As time went on, I had learned that both genders
already had plenty of wonderful characteristics without
the need for supremacy, fashion, materialism and
stereotyping to define them. Sadly, most of our society
didn’t look at it this way and thus, men and women had
to face stereotyping and pressure for what they were.
This often led to negative friction amongst people that
was never necessary to begin with. The result today is
the drive to eliminate gender identity, which is more of
a cop-out rather than a solution.
They same could be said for race, sexual preference,
language, and many aspects of culture and lifestyle.
Far left liberals use this issue to make division, while
far right conservatives make the mistake of turning a
blind eye to it all. None of this was ever supposed to
happen.
Now it has gotten to the point that people are even
resorting to altering their own bodies and identities as
to be totally different people. I find it unjust to gay and
bi-sexual men and woman to be grouped in with
transgenders. LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender) makes no sense. Why not just have
LGB? Straight, gay and bi-sexual men and women are
good people and deserve what everyone else deserve.
Everyone deserves love. Nobody has to transform into
a different gender, race or species to deserve love. All
people have feelings, and don’t have to transform
themselves to punctuate that matter.
And it goes even further. We not only have
transgenders, but also transspecies, trans-abled,
transracial, trans-aged and trans-planetoidal. Where
does it all end?
To be accepted, one need to accept others. Let men
be men, and let women be women. Let gays be gays,
and let straights be straight. Let people be what they
are most comfortable being. We have no place to order
people on what they should be. We need to go back to
that “live and let live” premise.
