Everyone talks of affordable medicine and having it covered. What about if you get an inhaler, or other applied medicine cartridge with no medicine? In this picture is a medicine cartridge, ordered by my ENT doctor, paid for by my insurance with a co-payment by me. I also count my pills now since I sometimes come up short. I simply use a funnel, a butter knife and three plates. You have to monitor these pharmacies like children.

Overcharging for medication has been known for a long time. However, companies deliberately skipping to fill medication cartages has not. It is impossible to ensure that pharmaceutical companies are filling medications properly. These companies will say they have an inspection department or will guarantee that all their medications are filled, but we all know that that’s just talk. The term “defective cartridge” is used a lot.
If you have a cartridge of medication that is not working properly or at all, you must report it ASAP. The sooner you catch it, the better. As soon as the pharmacy reports it to your insurance company as dispensed to you, you’re stuck. Pharmacies are slow to have prescribed medications ready, but really quick to bill responsible parties.
It is a tremendous advantage to the pharmaceutical companies to skip fills or refills of medicines. While it is no loss to them to fill things properly each time, they can save resources and spend less to acquire ingredients from abroad, where they cut corners in use. It is even worse now since all of the pharmaceutical manufacturing jobs have been outsourced abroad.
Generic medications are not any better, and in many cases, are even worse. Generic medicines are diluted, less potent versions of the actual medicine and is intended to mimic the actual medication for the purpose of tricking the patient into thinking that they are getting the same medicine. The power of suggestion is this technique used for many Americans, since they are assumed to not be fully honest about the need for the medication in question. It’s the same principle as if wine in a bottle was replaced with ordinary fruit juice or cider. Some people know the difference, while some don’t.
